Endurance/Energy
Endurance
Endurance is the ability to keep stress on your body alive for a longer period of time. Recovery is essential when it comes to endurance. If someone can reduce his recovery time, increase in his capacities (endurance, strength, distance) will follow. ATP (adenosine triphosphate) plays a major role in the field of endurance.
ATP is used by capacities by up to 30 seconds. Creatine phosphate levels produce 3 times as much energy as ATP and kicks in by strains which last up to 10 seconds (short sprints, Olympic lifting, maximum efforts). Glycogen levels are activated when an activity takes 30 seconds and longer. Glycogene follows right after the fatigue of ATP.
With certain nutrients we can increase endurance, improve recovery and most importantly improve cellular energy. This in turn helps with our strength, endurance and recovery.
